No News Is Definitely Bad News...

... and there's been no news of Pikey for almost 2 months now. We've informed our neighbors, put up fliers, visited the neighborhood animal shelter. I had pinned my hopes on the shelter because Pikey didn't have a tag or a collar and if someone had found her, that's where she would be.
There were lots of cats. Lots of black cats. But none with Pikey's sweet face. None who was 8 years old. None who meowed happily on seeing me and Rohan. So we went back to the car. I buckled Rohan to his seat, sat down behind the wheel and bawled.
There's nothing else for me to do.

I can't even begin to say how sorry I am! You held onto your hope for so long, and with you so did I. To see you finally let go has engulfed me in a wave of sadness for your, your family and of course Pikey.

Hugs to you. Take care...

Hopped over from Terri's. I am SO sorry about Pikey. I hope she was kidnapped by an unscrupulous cat lover who couldn't resist her gorgeousness and she is safe somewhere (though missing her home and plotting her return) ...

I am so sorry and I perhaps can understand what you feel. I had two cats at home at kolkata "lalu" the red and white cate with impish eyes and "kalu" the black and white cat with a small black mole on her upper lip and innocent eyes. Both are gone now, killed by insane relatives and I now live in Bangalore. I went through your posts about Pikey and tears rolled down my eyes too. I hope she returns to you soon and if not, may you feel her in your heart as I do. sharbori
